Why is Azerbaijan considered to be part of Eastern Europe and not Central Asia?
I know it is bordering Georgia and Armenia on the other side of the Caspian Sea…but their culture and history seems closer to Central Asia..plus it is a former Soviet republic.
Do you think Azerbaijan will continue to develop rapidly due to the natural gas piplines? What do you expect to happen in the next 10 yrs?
Okay..but why?
Technically Egypt is in Africa…but it is also considered to be an Arab/Middle Eastern nation as well.
They may be caucasian, but they are less European than the Turks in many aspects. Your right Athena, they do have an east asian influence as well.
I think the azerbaijanis look more like central asians like the turkmenistais. -I have got one picture of the Azerbaijanis actress. -her face looks very much like Eurasian/ caucasian part far east asians. she is very beautiful and somehow, she could be passed as the thai part chinese who has got the arabic decent. I actually have seen some native thai people who look very much like tajikistanis and some people in southern of thailand ( they are 80 percent muslims) they have got the arab and Iranian ancestors, so they look very much like latino, -some look central asians and some pure thai. however, their shapes are much smaller, – in the lesser caucasian form.
anyway, I do believe the original thai people were the blacks but their shape are smaller. =)
go back to yoru question. I sure 100 percent that the azerbaijian will continue developing their country in order to be part of the westernized countries like turkey has already done. -telling you also that turkey, syria and azerbaijan aren’t appeared to be the good islam countries like they should be.
people still believe in islam but they don’t follow qoran. – if you were visited the turkey and azerbaijan, you will see a lot of women who wearing the sexy cloths more than in europe. -I believe it’s because they were too strick in the old time.
Edit : the picture I couldn’t find it right now because I lose the password of photobucket, I hope I could send you soon via email.
