How should I deal with my solar energy dilemma (I live in Melbourne Australia)?

I’ve applied with a company called Rezeko and it will cost $2300 all up with the government rebate for 1 kw system.

Another company (Beyond Building) can provide the same system for $1300 and offers the same warranty but I have to pay $500 to them up front.

Rezeko say they will provide inspections and quotes soon but I’m not sure exactly when.

The government rebate runs out in June this year.

Rezeko is the biggest solar energy provider in Australia and has a good reputation. I don’t know how reputable the other place is.

How should I handle it. Should I quit Rezeko and go with Beyond Building?

The saving is only $200 per annum so $1000 saved makes a big difference.

Any reputable supplier should be able to put you in touch with other customers so you can check how they got on

suggest contacting your local permaculture group http://www.permaculturemelbourne.org.au/ they will know what local solutions work best, and often it doesn’t require a costly technical fix.
