I need to know were to learn about federal grants to pay for running your house on solar and, wind energy. general info would be appreciated as well.

The current grants such as those available at the official government grant website Grants.gov http://www.grants.gov are those for researching how to make a home energy efficient. Not grants given to individual homeowners to make their homes more “earth friendly”
